AbstractInterest in the possible uses of equipment operating on the reversed refrigeration cycle, more commonly known as heat pumps, developed rapidly following the end of the war in 1945. It was believed by many that such equipment would find extensive use in space heating. The operating results obtained from numerous experimental runs made over two years have been analysed. This analysis, together with the conclusions drawn from the experimental data are now presented.
