AbstractBased on side-by-side cost comparison of different switching options, including a combination of parameters biased against frequent switching, this study reinforces the idea that it is economical to turn fluorescent lamps off when they are not needed. Background information to explain the calculation procedures and a sensitivity analysis are included.
