AbstractMovement cycles have been imposed on sealant specimens in the laboratory using manually adjusted vises, and permanent deformations compared with those found in previous investigations of similarly-cycled specimens exposed on a test fence and others exposed on a strain-cycling rack. On the basis of the three observed cases of permanent deformation, the connection between outdoor performance and laboratory testing has been established.
