AbstractWe have measured 21 adsorption isotherms for argon on single-walled carbon nanotubes produced by laser ablation. We explored temperatures between 40 and 153 K to obtain the coverage dependence of the isosteric heat of adsorption for films in the first and second layers. Our data are compared to results obtained in computer simulation studies and to data obtained in previous experimental investigations of this system.
