AbstractModel ice failure pattern and piece size generated by R-Class and "Kigoriak" bow forms were studied and compared to available full scale data. The model icebreaking patterns appear to be geometrically similar to that of their full scale counterparts, but piece sizes are approximately three to five times larger than the full scale data suggests.
