AbstractThe BioFusionTM monitor is a chest-belt dry-electrode multi-parameter recorder that has the potential to observe worker physiology in harsh environments including deep mechanized mines. Performance of this monitor has not been reported. As part of evaluating BioFusion parameters (electrocardiography (ECG), chest temperature, respiration, accelerometry), this investigation examines BioFusion ECG quality for R-detection relative to a medically approved 5-lead gel electrode Holter system.
