AbstractIn recent years new techniques for programming and scheduling interrelated activities have been developed that use a newwork to depict these interrelations. These techniques have considerable application in construction work where they are usually referred to as the Critical Path Method (CPM), and many articles have been written on their use and the benefits to be derived from them. The following account of the techniques and the attached bibliography have been prepared with a view to summarizing very briefly the present state of the art and to assist those who wish to locate further information on the subject.
