AbstractVertical dynamic forces from walking and running were measured by load cells placed between temporary supports and the centre of a 17-m-long floor strip. The measurements showed that the dynamic forces are composed of wave trains of harmonics of the walking or running rate. The significant low frequency contributions are generally contained within the first three to four harmonics.
