AbstractThis paper addresses four main aspects of reducing fire hazards: 1) controlling fire within a compartment 2) controlling the spread of fire between compartments through interior separations 3) controlling the spread of fire between compartments through openings in exterior walls 4) providing early warning to building occupants.
