AbstractLeda clays, which are believed to be a post-glacial marine deposit, are frequently encountered in the Ottawa region. Knowledge of the mineral composition of a soil is an aid in the interpretation of its engineering properties and the analysis of composition was a logical step in the study of Leda clay which forms part of a general project on the soils in the Ottawa region.
