AbstractUsing a periodic pseudorandom sequence as the noise source, it is possible to implement the two-microphone transfer function technique for impedance and absorption measurement in an impedance tube with a single microphone, thereby eliminating the elaborate calibrating procedure and any error associated with phase-mismatching. This paper reports that the results obtained by the proposed procedure compared well with those obtained by the standard-wave-ratio method.
