AbstractA test method for resistance to water immersion is described and the results obtained with two-part polysulfide sealant are presented. Sealant specimens were cast on aluminum and cement-mortar substrates, cured, heat-aged, then enclosed in a plastic bag containing water and extended at various rates while continuously immersed until failure occurred.
