AbstractThis Note is based on the investigations by DBR of the various types of plaster failures. It describes white coat plaster and various types of failures. Most failures could be attributed to the delayed hydration of free MgO present in the plaster. A method of patching the wall in which the finish coat has failed and precautions that have to be taken are described.
