AbstractThe method of finite differences is used to obtain the cutoff wavelength and the field distribution for TE mode propagation in a rectangular waveguide with double ridges placed symmetrically about the guide axis. Design curves for this wave­ guide, which is potentially very useful in microwave heating and drying applications, are presented.
