AbstractThree materials, polyacrylonitrile, nylon 6 and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, were decomposed using the method described in DBR-BRN-99. The main toxic products ( HCN, CO and CO2) were quantitatively analysed. The toxicity of the three were assessed using the fire toxicity concept.
