AbstractThis Digest discusses air tightness and the distribution of pressure differences resulting from stack effect in buildings as they are designed at present. It also discusses ways in which pressure differences and air flow may be modified to alleviate associated problems by varying air tightness characteristics or by the operation of mechanical air supply and exhaust systems.
