AbstractThe National Research Council of Canada (NRC), with support from the American Water Works Association Research Foundation is developing a model to forecast water main breakage. Unlike existing models, the model will be based on both static and dynamic factors. It will cover group deterioration analysis for high-level planning and individual water mains for operational considerations. The paper provides interim insights and results.
