AbstractOne of the first projects undertaken by the Division after its formation in August, 1947, was the building of two experimental houses on the grounds of the Montreal Road Laboratories of the National Research Council. The purpose of these houses was to observe, under normal operating conditions, the performance of new products developed by Canadian manufacturers for the house-building industry.
