AbstractThere is very little correlation between published results from the many suggested tests for carpet flammability. In this paper, some of the oddities in fire performance of certain fibre blends are examined and possible limitations of small-scale tests suggested. The evaluation of flame spread is considered, in Canada at least, possibly less important than that of smoke.
