AbstractResearch was performed on concrete slabs and beam-slab assemblies reinforced with fibre-reinforced polymers (FRPs) to better understand their performance in building fires. The experiments consisted of fire tests on intermediate-scale reinforced concrete slabs and full-scale reinforced concrete beam-slab assemblies that were strengthened with externally bonded FRP materials, and provided with supplemental fire protection systems applied to the exterior of the FRPs. The report describes the test procedures and results from these fire endurance experiments.
