AbstractDirections are given for soil sampling procedures that can be done by any practical person without specialized training. Instruction procedures for different types of samples, i.e. disturbed and undisturbed, are outlined, including samples obtained from borings and test pits as well as the equipment necessary for each job. Suggested references on the subject are also given.
