AbstractSeasonal Performance Factors between 1.5 and 2.4 were obtained when five water source and one ground source heat pump system were monitored for a designated period. These systems were located across Canada and, in some cases, all or a portion of the domestic hot water (DHW) requirements were also supplied by the heat pump systems. All systems operated satisfactorily without any major problems, providing substantial savings on energy bills for heating and DHW.
