AbstractTransductors, sometimes called dc current transformers, are in widespread use for the measurement of large direct currents, of the order of 1000 amperes and above. The transductor described in this paper has errors of much less than 10-4over most of its current range. In addition, this transductor requires considerably less core material than a standard transductor of the same current rating.
