AbstractThis computer program has been prepared to assist in evaluating smoke control measures operating under various conditions caused by weather, fire, evacuation of occupants and fire-fighting. Such studies can assist in developing more effective measures and more efficient procedures for evacuation. The program calculates smoke concentrations for various fire situations in all compartments of a tall office building with a fire on a particular floor. It takes into account the effects of outside weather (wind and stack action), the progress of a fire, the air leakage characteristics of wall and floor constructions, the operation of stair and elevator doors and the operation of the smoke control system. It is composed of two main subroutines; one for calculating air flow rates and the other for calculating smoke concentrations.
