AbstractThe cross section for the K39(n, p)A39 reaction, at a neutron energy of 2.46 MeV, has been measured to be 96±6 mb. The experimental method consists of taking coincidences between the events in a KI(T1) scintillation crystal and the He2 particles which are produced simultaneously with neutrons in the d-d reaction.
