AbstractA method using a modified ASTM E1050 impedance tube is shown to provide a non-destructive method to measure the airflow resistance of nacelle components. The results agree with the traditional ASTM C522 test method. Theory is presented for the prediction of the total resistance and reactance of nacelles based on measurable physical parameters.
