AbstractCrowd incidents, in which people are seriously injured or killed due to crushing or trampling, are not restricted to emergencies but can and have occurred at sports, music and religious events. The study of the crowd patterns at a rock concert in Exhibition Stadium was conducted in response to an invitation from city officials and the show promoter with a view to providing technical information that might assist in establishing safety guidelines for future concerts. The report presents the observations made of the crowd from 16: 00 hrs. to 00:48 hrs.
