AbstractThe susceptances of a centrally placed post and a centrally placed iris in circular waveguide were measured for the TE 11 mode. In both cases, experimentally determined values of shunt susceptance were compared with existing theoretical values for regular guide, and good agreement was found in the case of the iris. For a fixed aperture, the iris was rotated, and measurements were made of the susceptance of the iris and polarization of the transmitted wave.
