AbstractThe goal of this project was to develop a generic mechanical system simulator for arbitrary multi-body systems. The paper describes the derivation of a generic form of dynamics equation based on recursive kinematics and dynamics. Constraint dynamics modeling and numerical algorithms were developed based on this equation. The paper also demonstrates the practical applicability in real time simulation using a few application examples.
