AbstractThis report is one of a series that is concerned with space between buildings and related site development -- a project that has been undertaken for the Division by the School of Architecture at the University of British Columbia. This present report deals with privacy as a factor in the determination of space between residential buildings. The study is a tentative step toward a greater understanding of privacy as one of the strategic criteria in the field of space standards, and in conjunction with the Annotated Bibliography on Privacy ought to form a useful basis for further and more detailed research.
