AbstractIn 1997/98, a major refurbishing of the NRC/IRC acoustical test facility for the measurement of sound transmission through walls was undertaken. This renovation was intended to correct a number of deficiencies with the original test suite, to improve safety and operational efficiency, and to enhance the low-frequency performance of the facility. As discussed more fully below, the changes included:
