Abstractα-Aminoalkyl radicals generated from N-ethoxycarbonyl- or N-methylcarbonyl-1,3-thiazolidine derivatives (1a, 1b, 5, 7) have been utilized in the formation of carbon-carbon bonds with tris(trimethylsilyl)silane as a free radical mediator.
