AbstractBuckling and spalling of brick veneer and brick facing wythes of cavity walls on highrise buildings are attributable to building movements. It is the purpose of this Digest to discuss characteristics of failures observed in a number of buildings and to comment on particular details of the forms of construction that tend to contribute problems.
