AbstractWinter design temperature on a 2 1/2 per cent basis is the temperature, expressed in degrees Fahrenheit, at or below which 2 1/2 per cent of the January hourly out-door temperatures occur. These design temperatures for 190 Canadian stations were prepared from basic material developed in the preparation of the first chart in the Climate Part of the National Building Code.
