AbstractOn 3 February 1963, a rapid increase was observed in the rate of leakage from the Wilkes Avenue reservoir in Winnipeg. Inspection of the reservoir showed that the upper row of concrete slabs lining the cells had been pushed upwards parallel to the embankment slopes on the north, west and east sides. This report contains a record of the observations made in this study, and presents the conclusions drawn from these observations.
