AbstractThis paper addresses the risk of failure of a system for which physical-based (or empirical) models are not available. It proposes a soft computing method to based on fuzzy operators to ?aggregate' the non-commensurate input parameters in a meaningful way without explicitly knowing the model. The paper describes the proposed methodology to perform risk analysis, how to handle missing information or data in risk analysis and the results of sensitivity analysis using various forms of ordered weighted averaging operators.
