AbstractThis is a brief preliminary report on observations made in the Hollywood and Odeon-Hyland Theatres on March 12-13. The theatre operators, in correspondence with the T.T.C., have expressed concern lest the new subway introduce serious noise and vibration levels in these theatres, since they are directly over the subway. The purpose of the present observations is to determine the present noise levels, due to surface traffic and to internal noise sources.
