AbstractStudies show that stucco cladding with low liquid diffusivity and high water vapour permeability can positively influence the overall moisture management capacity of wood-frame stucco walls. For this reason, the NRC Institute for Research in Construction (IRC), in cooperation with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), is working on a project to improve the performance of stucco cladding by modifying existing mix designs and testing new materials.
