AbstractHigh losses of mobile homes in windstorms have become a matter of considerable concern to owners, insurance companies and building code authorities. The purpose of this Digest is to assess the nature of the wind loss problem, to describe the effects of the wind forces on a typical mobile home and to suggest methods of providing greater safety by anchoring mobile homes to the ground.
