AbstractThis paper describes the experimental assessment of the effects of spacer bar design on the condensation resistance for 10 insulating glass units made with 10 different spacers, both conventional metal spacers and others currently available in the marketplace. Measurements were performed in a guarded hotbox according to a well-established test procedure, which applies the temperature index (TI) principles. It provides a clear demonstration and comparison of the performance of the conventional and warm edge technology spacers.
