AbstractDespite the widespread and expanding need for concrete repair, the lack of comprehensive data and suitable guidelines leaves designers with some uncertainty as to how to proceed with the design and execution of durable repairs. The extreme climatic conditions in North America make it even more difficult. To achieve a lasting repair, it is essential that the properties of the repair material and the substrate be properly matched. This helps ensure that the repair material can withstand the stresses resulting from the volume changes and load, for a specified environment over a designated period of time, without experiencing distress and deterioration.
