AbstractThis paper compares the transfer functions for several electrical analog circuits, both active and passive, with the theoretical functions for heat conduction through a homogeneous slab. The results indicate the magnitude of the errors due to space lumping as a function of non-dimensional frequency for each circuit. This permits the selection of the simplest circuit which will achieve a specified accuracy over a specified frequency range.
