AbstractStudies carried out as part of the brick masonry research program of the Division on a high suction, dry-press brick manufactured in the Atlantic area have been extended to include the bricks now produced, following a major modifcation to the brick kiln. Bricks from this source have also been used in a further extension of the program to cover an examination of the effects of various treatments, including the use of silicones, on the bond strength and leakage characteristics as found in small masonry panels.
