AbstractThis report is a summary of the observations made by the author during a trip to northern Manitoba and Ungava during July and August 1955. The purpose of this field trip was twofold: to test the field application of the Radforth Classification System for muskeg and to obtain samples of different types of organic material and muskeg water for study in the laboratory.
