AbstractThe use of sealed double-glazing in homes and office buildings is rapidly increasing in Canada and the manufacture of the components is also showing a marked rise. This development encouraged the Building Services Section, Division of Building Research, National Research Council of Canada (DBR/NRC), Ottawa, to carry out a lengthy investigation to evaluate the various types of factory- sealed double-glazing in that country. K.R. Solvason and A. G. Wilson, both of whom are connected with that section of the NRC, describe the results of their research in the accompanying article.
