AbstractThe potential application of electrical conductivity methods in areas dealing with chemical reaction at interfaces is discussed. Attention is given to the alkali aggregate reaction. The approach is also applied to a specific solid-liquid chemical reaction, i.e. pozzolanic reaction between silica fume and calcium hydroxide solution. New findings appear to be helpful in understanding the chemical reaction processes that occur in these systems.
