AbstractThe first report of experimental studies of conditions within a standard Canadian basement fallout shelter in Ottawa covered work carried out during 1961. The studies now reported, carried out during 1962, involved winter trials only, to provide the opportunitiy for further exploration in the test house and shelter of basement temperatures and basement ventilation, the latter having been shown to be a limiting factor. Additional summer trials during 1962 are to be covered in another report.
