AbstractThis report summarizes a series of exploratory experiments addressing the Sea Water Instrumented Mannequin (SWIM) buoyant motion in still water and in waves undertaken by IMD for the Transportation Development Centre, Transport Canada. The aim of the experiments was to collect experimental data on the complete SWIM mannequin that may be used in the validation of the water forces analysis capability (WAFAC) mathematical model.
