AbstractReport presents the results of IMD's capsizing model tests from the viewpoint of the influence of ship speed and course angle on ship behaviour in extreme waves. The dangerous combination of these parameters is defined. The discussion at IMD on the development of an operational guidance for ship masters is also presented.
