AbstractThe results of calculated and measured surface temperatures and heat fluxes for a ventilated flat roof are compared and discussed. The thermal response factor method of calculating heat fluxes and temperatures gives values in good agreement with measured values when the sol-air temperature (evaluated from several derived formulae) includes the effect of long-wave radiation exchange between the roof and sky.
